South Dakota Ag Secretary Testifies At RFS Hearing In Iowa

Thursday ,South Dakota State Agriculture Secretary Lucas Lentsch was one of several individuals giving testimony supporting an increase in the renewable fuel volume obligations under the RFS.  The hearing was held in Des Moines, Iowa and hosted by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad.   Lentsch says the RFS is important to the nation’s energy security and that was brought out by the Iowa Governor.

Lentsch says it’s critical for EPA to hear from everyone in the region as to the importance of a strong  Renewable Fuel Standard.

He says it’s important to be heard on this very important issue as the deadline for submitting comments to EPA is fast approaching on January 28.
