South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard, State Ag Secretary Lucas Lentsch and other South Dakota officials are calling last week’s trip to California to the World Ag Expo a success. Lentsch says they were able to cement relationships with prospective California dairies looking to re-locate.
Lentsch says California is a ripe spot for South Dakota to recruit dairies and other business due to South Dakota’s favorable business climate and California’s liabilities.
He says dairies isn’t the only thing South Dakota leaders were focused on during the Governor’s trip to the Ag Expo. He says other South Dakota businesses were highlighted including an ag robotics company.
Lentsch says last week’s trip was the third one for South Dakota officials to California for the World Ag Expo.
