The National Sorghum Growers Association hosted meetings this past week in South Dakota to educate growers about the new programs that will be part of the farm bill. The meetings were held in Mitchell and Oacoma and were facilitated by Chris Cogburn, the Strategic Business Director. Cogburn says most farmers had questions regarding ARC.
Cogburn says the meetings helped better prepare farmers for the decision they will be making this fall.
Farmers need to be educated about these programs because they will be locked into their selection for five years.
