Solving The Ag Labor Shortage A Priority For NAWG

A new immigration reform bill has been introduced in the House, HR 6083 the “Labor Certainty for Food Security Act.” National Association of Wheat Growers CEO Chandler Goule says this is not the first labor bill to be introduced this year that is unlikely to move in Congress.

Goule admits an immigration bill is a hot potato in an election year, but it’s always polarizing.

As a result, he says the best solution for agriculture may be a bill focused just on their needs.

Goule says despite the challenges, solving the ag labor shortage is priority for their organization in this Congress.
