The City of Yankton had another strong month for sales tax in December and wrapped up a solid year of growth.

Taxes were up just over seven percent in December and City Manager Amy Leon says there has been a lot of activity…

Total sales taxes for the year were up three point nine three percent over 2018. Leon says it was well above their estimates….

Leon says she is still cautious about projections for this year….

Of the top ten cities in the state, only Aberdeen, Huron and Mitchell had sales tax declines.
