Sales taxes in the City of Yankton continued to show growth through the end of summer.

The retail base has narrowed in the past few years with closures of K-Mart, JC Penneys and other stores. Leon says there appears to be good support for local businsses…
The report of the top ten cities and Vermillion from the state Department of Revenue shows Vermillion taxes for the year up almost eleven percent, with Aberdeen showing a dip of almost four percent.
