The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says snow will continue on Friday. Snowfall is expected to range from 1
to 3 inches although locally high amounts are possible. There is
also a chance of light snow on Saturday – primarily across
southeastern South Dakota, northeastern Nebraska, and
northwestern Iowa.

Dangerous cold will move into the area Friday night and remain
over the area through New Year`s Day. Wind chills will range
from -20 to -40 with the coldest wind chills expected Saturday
night and Sunday night.
