SNAP May Derail The Farm Bill

The House Ag Committee released the 2018 farm bill last week, but without bi-partisan support due the fight over the SNAP program. National Corn Growers Association Executive Vice President Jon Doggett says it is possible the fight over SNAP could derail the legislation.

However, Doggett says the abuse of the SNAP program Republican committee members keep pointing to just isn’t there.

National Association of Wheat Growers CEO Chandler Goule is more optimistic about the farm bill getting done and on time.

The full House is expected to vote on the bill in May.
