Southwest Minnesota State junior outside hitter Taylor Reiss has been named the Sports Imports/American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II National Player of the Week the organization announced on Tuesday.
It’s the third time Reiss has earned the weekly national award in her career and the second time this season.
Reiss, a native of Taunton, Minnesota, helped lead SMSU to the championship title of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament this past weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota. Reiss racked up 97 kills over three tournament matches while hitting .417 on 204 total attacks. She also had 34 digs and eight block assists in earning NSIC Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.
