Pearson says these programs provide improved technology to disabled residents who suffer from hearing loss, speech impairments, blindness, or physical limitations that make using a phone or computer difficult or impossible. Because of the increased cost of smart technology, Pearson says there is an income designation for eligibility…
She says that if a disabled resident is eligible for the program, not only will they receive the iPad or iPhone, but the necessary apps that assist with accessibility will be preloaded and training is available for those who need help learning to use the devices.
