Finding a way to slowdown, and possibly reverse the siltation of lakes along the Missouri River is the goal of the Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition.

Executive Director Sandy Stockholm spoke to the Yankton County Commission this week…………..

The group will meet August first in Yankton for a presentation by Rollin Hotchkiss, a civil engineering professor from Brigham Young University.

Stockholm says they are working with the Corps of Engineers on possible solutions to the siltation inflow…

Stockholm says each lake along the river has a different life line…..

Stockholm says Yankton County is one of ten government bodies that helps support their work.
