Six foot ten righthander Aaron Slegers makes his first start this season as the Minnesota Twins try to snap a six game losing streak Thursday.
Slegers made one relief appearance earlier this season and is looking for his first major league win after posting an 0-1 record in 2017.
The Twins open an 11-day homestand with the first of four games against Baltimore which has the worst record in baseball this season.
Minnesota has fallen 12 games back of first place Cleveland in the American League Central Division.
They will host the Orioles, Royals and Rays before the All Star break.
