Yankton County Commissioners are working on installing emergency sirens throughout the county. To determine the location of each siren, testing will be conducted at 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Paul Scherschligt with the county office of emergency management says the testing is needed to ensure everyone can hear the warnings.

He says the testing should continue as more areas are included in the Commission’s decision.

Tuesday’s testing will include a truck-mounted siren in West Yankton.
