Bidding for the emergency siren project in the lake area of Yankton closed yesterday, but at their meeting yesterday afternoon, Commission members agreed not to go ahead with the project and to reject any received bids.  This decision came after a recommendation by Paul Scherschligt, (EMS)…

 

 

Scherschligt also told the commission that with the set-back, the project would not be completed before winter.

 

 

While the siren project has been halted at this point, the commission agreed to address the problem at a later meeting to discuss alternative options.
