Sioux Falls Consumers at Farm to Fork Event at Thompson Farm

Sioux Falls area leaders and consumers participated in a Farm to Fork dinner last night at the Jeff Thompson farm near Colton. Thompson says it was part of the South Dakota Soybean Hungry for Truth initiative.

He says it was a chance to have a conservation with consumer across the table, about how they are producing food affordably and safely.

One of the participants was Kaylee Koch has a blog called the Apply of My Ivy.com. She was excited to meet and hear the story of how hard South Dakota family farmers work to produce the food she buys for her family.

Around 100 people participated in event. Hungry for Truth is a campaign to educate and build awareness among consumers about where their food comes from.
