Finding teachers for South Dakota school districts will continue to be difficult due to budget shortages. That was the message the Legislature’s Planning Committee heard during their meeting in Pierre yesterday. (Monday).

Rob Monson, Executive Director of the School Administrators of South Dakota said there are some possible solutions…

Monson says legislators could look at a special tax just for education…

Monson said legislators may have to take a chance, comparing it to farmers who took a chance on expanding their operations…

The committee hopes to have some recommendations for the 2015 legislature.
