Sheep Extension Specialists from Iowa State and South Dakota State Universities are speaking at a lamb feeders meeting in Sheldon, Iowa Tuesday night December 9. ISU extension specialist Dr. Dan Morracal says Jeff Held from SDSU will lead off the program talking about how producers can get more value out of their market lambs.
Morracal says if you can lessen the shrink it makes a big difference in a producer’s bottomline.
He says the sheep industry is moving toward more value based marketing where some plants will put in vision grading and he’ll be talking about that.
Morracal says any producer who can’t make it to the meeting can e mail him for more information. Just send it to morracal@iastate.edu.
