The South Dakota Sheep Grower Association members re elected officers at their convention this past weekend. President Max Matthews of Bison will serve another year as leader of the group. Jim Van Dyke of Wessington Springs was chosen Vice President, Bill Fuller of Clark as Secretary and Tammy Basel of Union Center as Treasurer. Matthews says one of their policies calls for them to work with their National Group to address Undercover Videos taken by activist groups.
Matthews says another priority of their Association is to work with other groups and authorities to curtail the recent rustling problem that’s popped up.
Matthews says they handed out their trapper of the year award to Emmet Keyser of the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks and honored him for his efforts in helping them with predator control through the state’s animal damage control program.
