Iowans on the western side of the state should have an easier time when the go to doctor or hospital as the Iowa Health Information Network is now linked up with Nebraska’s Health Information Initiative. Deb Bass, the C-E-O of the Nebraska system, says the two states can now send and receive medical records electronically.

Bass says they have taken several steps to ensure the system is safe and secure.

Bass says it is an important milestone to have the two states able to share this information.
