The start of spring normally means severe weather season is not far behind. The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls is again holding storm spotter classes after a two year break due to the pandemic.

Meteorologist Matt Dux, who was in Yankton last (Thursday) night says they want spotters and the public to be aware of threatening weather….

Dux says the weather service continues to upgrade their technology to help them issue more targeted weather warnings….

The storm spotter classes will be held around the Sioux Falls office service area through late April.
