Senators John Thune of South Dakota and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota are requesting the USDA to address implementation issues with the Emergency Relief Program, which helps producers offset the impacts of a drought that occurred in 2020 and 2021.  The senators, along with many of their colleagues from the U-S Senate Agriculture Committee have written a letter to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack asking that he look into discrepancies with the allocation of Emergency Relief Program funds.
