Nebraska state Senator Bob Krist has picked State Senator Lynne Walz to be his lieutenant governor running mate.
Krist is seeking the Democratic nomination.
He says it was an easy choice tapping Walz for the job after watching her work the past two-years.
Walz is in her first-term as a state senator.
She is a former teacher who now works as a realtor in Fremont.
She says the legislature’s lack of accomplishment this session is one reason she decided to run with Krist.
Walz says if Krist is elected governor, the two of them would work to find more compromises with the legislature.
