Minnesota Senator Tina Smith has put together an Agriculture Advisory Group as she prepares to help craft the upcoming farm bill

 

The work group consists of members from the Farmer’s Union and Farm Bureau, research and extension, conservation, energy and rural development and health. Senator Smith says the group will likely have its first meeting next week, with the Senate starting to take a closer look at the farm bill in March.
