The top agricultural legislative priority for 2016 for Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is getting Congress to approve the Trans Pacific Partnership. It’s also the top agenda item for President Obama.  Grassley says TPP has great potential benefits for America’s farmers and ranchers.

 

Grassley says his next most important priority is finding some way to block the EPA and Army Corps of Engineer’s Waters of the U.S. rule along with finding some way to pass farm program payment limits.

 

Grassley says the farm bill’s been opened up due to the work of Southern farmers who convinced lawmakers to include an amendment in the recently passed appropriations bill. That provision includes generic certificates and the call for cotton seed payments.
