An estimated 5,000 plus migrants from Honduras and other areas in Central America continue to make their way north into Mexico with most planning to continue to the U.S. President Trump announced plans are in the works to stop them from crossing the southern border. Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse says immigration and border issues have been on the table way too long.

Sasse says part of the effort to slow immigration is getting word to those in Central America that times have changed.

President Trump today sent a Tweet stating that efforts are being made to stop the group and those who don’t apply for asylum in Mexico first they will be turned away once they reach the U.S.
