Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is lauding President Trump for including elimination of farm program payment loopholes in his proposed 2019 budget. Grassley says he’s been working for a number of years to accomplish that.

He says he’ll pursue getting rid of those loopholes with Senate legislation.

Grassley says having the President’s support in eliminating farm program payment loopholes will help him in his efforts, although he’ll still have some challenges to overcome.

Grassley is hoping the Ag Committees in both chambers will get moving on the new farm bill so they can complete it this year.
