Nebraska independent candidate for governor, Senator Bob Krist of Omaha, is challenging a new state law which would require him to gather nearly 120-Thousand signatures to land on the November ballot.
Krist says if his lawsuit proves unsuccessful, he might form a third party, which requires only 4-Thousand signatures. . .

Senator John Murante of Gretna sponsored the new law…and argues it isn’t unreasonable to require an independent to gather tens of thousands of signatures to become ballot worthy

Murante expects the law to hold up in court.
