Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer says she is frustrated Congress continues to wait until the end of the fiscal year to produce a spending bill.

She says short-term continuing resolutions are not the way to properly fund entire government agencies.

She says Democrats and Republicans need to work together.

Congress faces a September 30th deadline to fund the government and avoid a shutdown.
