More comments are coming forward regarding the Environmental Protection Agency’s announcement allowing E-15 ethanol to be used in the Midwest states all year round.  However, the ruling doesn’t take effect until the year 2024.  Nebraska Republican Senator Deb Fischer, a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee says she appreciates the EPA trying to move the ball forward on access to E-15 during the summer months. ” We all know E-15 is great for lowering costs at the pump and strengthening our energy security.  But this proposal, while well-intended, still leaves the country with a patchwork of regulations that prevents the nation’s driving public from enjoying the full benefits of biofuels.  It also fails to address this upcoming summer driving season.”  Fischer says “The best solution here is congressional action.  Senator Fischer says she is work on a bipartisan bill that would create a permanent, nation-wide fix.”  She says she “looks forward to reintroducing the bill during this Congress so we can make true year-round E-15 a reality.”
