Tuesday, Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst introduced Iowa Governor Terry Branstad to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and supported his confirmation for Ambassador to China. Grassley is hoping for quick approval for Branstad for the Ambassadorship.

He says Branstad is very fit for the Ambassador’s position.

Grassley says Branstad has a lot of negotiating experience and is a world traveler who understands the needs and problems of many countries.

Grassley says not only has Branstad made six different trips to China, he also has 23 years of experience representing Iowa on global travels to push for trade agreements.
