The US Senate may take up the Trade Promotion Authority bill this week.
It was passed by the House last week, after it was separated from TAA, or Trade Adjustment Assistance.
South Dakota Senator John Thune says the maneuvering is needed to get the bills passed…
Thune says differences of opinion on the trade authority don’t fall along party lines…
Thune says he still supports the passage of both TPA and TAA…
A cloture vote may take place on TPA today, with the final vote set for tomorrow. (Wednesday).
