Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Senate voted 62 to 36 passing legislation approving the Keystone XL Pipeline. The measure still has to be melded with a different House version that passed earlier. Nebraska Sierra Club Lobbyist Ken Winston says there’s no doubt the Keystone legislation will be vetoed. Winston says the Senate measure is simply ‘’bad policy’’.
Winston also says he’s never heard of a wind spill into an Aquifer. He says considering the vote tally in the Senate, at this time there isn’t enough votes to override the expected veto.
