Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee is meeting today with European Union Commissioner Cecelia Malmstrom. He says they’ll be visiting about the potential bilateral trade agreement between the U.S. and E.U.
He says he’ll not only speak with Malstrom about the need for the E.U. to accept agricultural biotechnology but he also demonstrate its safety to her.
Grassley says a trade deal with the E.U. is one of three priorities his Finance Committee has including a pact with Japan and ratification of the USMCA.
Besides trade, Grassley says he’ll be battling to keep tax cuts that were put in place by the last Congress.
