A vote could be held this week on energy legislation in the U.S. Senate. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says while it’s an important measure it probably won’t contain any provisions regarding the RFS or biofuels issues.

 

He says there may be some opposition to the bill and they’ll have to overcome that through the amendment process.

 

Grassley says he’s been working with a member of his staff on possible legislation regarding the RFS and biofuel concerns including production tax credits and volume levels.

 

Grassley says a vote to move the energy bill forward could come sometime on Thursday.
