The four House and Senate Agriculture Committee leaders have reached an agreement in principle on the 2018 farm bill. House Ag Committee Chairman Mike Conaway says while they still have a lot of work yet to do is pleased they’ve gotten this far.

He says they want to get the farm bill to the floors of both chambers as quickly as possible.

Conaway says while they’re working through the process, he’s not sure of what the timing is for getting the bill completed.

Conaway says they’re working to finalize legal and report language as well as CBO scores.
