The Senate Agriculture Committee will be holding a hearing tomorrow to review the state of the U.S. cattle industry and the recent volatility of the markets. Montana rancher and auctioneer Joe Goggins is testifying on behalf of the U.S. Cattlemen’s Association. Goggins says he’ll talk about the recent loss of equity in the cattle industry.
He’ll also tell Senators a more fair and competitive marketplace is needed for cattle producers.
Goggins says another problem the Senate Ag Committee members need to address is the over regulation of the livestock industry.
The hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday.
