Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer has introduced legislation in the US Senate to help veterans suffering from PTSD get service dogs.
The bipartisan “Puppies Assisting Wounded Service Members Act, or PAWS act, is also sponsored by New Jersey Democrat Senator Cory Booker.
Fischer and Booker introduced the bill last week. Fischer says the VA should help vets with PTSD any way they can.

Fischer says the VA needs to do more for those with mental injuries.

Fischer says the Senate PAWS Act bill has sister legislation in the house with around 100 cosponsors.
