Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer says the only way additional troops will be helpful in the fight against the Islamic State is if there is a clear objective in mind.
The Obama Administration has said an additional 250 troops will join 50 already in Syria helping local troops fight terrorist groups.
Fischer says the move can be effective if done right
Fischer does agree the Islamic State is a threat the United States must meet.
