An influential lawmaker from Paynesville says she’ll ask tough questions when the University of Minnesota appears before her committee this week to ask for more state funding.  Republican Senator Michelle Fischbach says not only will her committee scrutinize the University’s budget, but also their student conduct policies in the wake of several scandals involving athletes

 

Fischbach says the university is the state’s flagship school and needs to be a shining star across the country.
