The Minnesota Department of Transportation will open to traffic a nine-and-a-half-mile segment of Highway 14 between North Mankato and Nicollet that’s been upgraded to four lanes.  Project manager Zachary Tess says a major motivation is safety

 

Tess says funding comes from the “Corridors of Commerce” program.  Highway 14 is a major thoroughfare in southern Minnesota that officials have been pushing to upgrade for years.
