The Corps of Engineers, with new authorization from a federal water bill, may be closer to some type of plan to begin slowing down the siltation of Lewis & Clark Lake.
Paul Boyd, with the Omaha office of the Corps, says the new bill allows them to put together all the past studies of the issues with the lake..
Boyd says to be successful, the plan has to show benefits that outweigh the costs..
Boyd says there could be an actual plan in the next year or two…
Boyd made a presentation at the meeting of the Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition last week in Niobrara.
