The 21-member committee charged with recommending finalists to become the new president at the University of Iowa conducted interviews with the nine remaining candidates over the last two days. U-of-I interim president Jean Robillard is chairman of the committee, which has presented a list of finalists to the Board of Regents.

The interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday, held near O’Hare Airport in Chicago, were closed to the public. The names of the finalists submitted to the Regents are not being released and Robillard would not say how many names are on the list.

 

The names of the finalists will be released around 24 hours before they come to Iowa City for public visits scheduled for the week of August 31.
