The South Dakota State women’s golf team finished third at the 2015 Summit League Women’s Golf Championship at the Bayonet Golf Course to conclude the season.
It was the best finish for SDSU since finishing second in 2008 and 2010.
SDSU shot a 948 (313-314-321) at the par-72, 6,012-yard layout. The Jacks finished behind Summit League Champion and 45th -ranked Denver, which shot a 926 (307-312-307). Oral Roberts placed second with a 944 (313-314-317). Denver’s Elyse Smidinger won the 95-player field, shooting a 227 (77-75-75).
Sophomore Megan Mingo (Yankton) recorded her fifth top-10 finish of the season, tying for sixth after shooting a 76 in the final round to finish at 235 (77-82-76).
Freshman Natcha Srimaneerungroj (Bangkok, Thailand) and sophomore Hallie Getz (Pierre) tied for eighth at 238. Srimaneerungroj went 80-77-81 while Getz fired rounds of 80-78-80.

Junior Sydney MacDonald (Calgary, Alberta) tied for 14th (76-81-84=241) and classmate Brianna Janu (Glenwood, Minn.) tied for 19th, firing a 242 (80-78-84).
