— Four Jackrabbits scored in double figures as South Dakota State (18-8, 9-1) extended its home win streak to 15 games with an 71-60 victory over Omaha (9-14, 1-8) in Summit League women’s basketball action Thursday.

Junior Mariah Clarin (Princeton, Minn.) scored a career-high 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Classmate Megan Waytashek (Lino Lakes, Minn.) had 15 points, including three three-pointers. Senior Steph Paluch (Pierre) and freshman Chynna Stevens (Clark) each scored 12 points. Junior point guard Gabby Boever (Worthington, Minn.) grabbed a career- and team-high 10 rebounds.

Down 36-30 early in the second half, the Jacks made a 16-4 run to take a 46-40 lead with 13:46 to go. Omaha later used a 9-4 spurt to trail 52-50 with 7:25 left, but that was as close as the Mavericks would get.

In the first half, Omaha used a 6-2 run on a pair of three-pointers from Ericka House to take a five-point lead, 20-15, with 10:32 on the clock. The Jackrabbits responded with a 13-2 run fueled by four points from Clarin to take a 28-23 lead.

The Mavericks took a 34-30 halftime lead after SDSU went scoreless after a jumper by Clarin with 4:31 left in the half.

House led Omaha with a career- and game-high 30 points. Taijhe Kelly added 16 points, a game-high 12 rebounds and a game- and career-high eight blocked shots.

South Dakota State returns to the friendly confines of Frost Arena Saturday when it hosts Western Illinois at 4 p.m.
