A bill that will help expand a rural veterinary program at South Dakota State University got a “do pass” recommendation from the legislatures Joint Appropriations Committee Monday.

Dunn says the program is a cooperative effort with the University of Minnesota…
Dunn says it is an investment in the states livestock industry..
The bill appropriates five hundred fifty thousand dollars to start the program. It passed on a vote of sixteen to one and now moves to the House floor.
