Both South Dakota State and South Dakota women’s basketball teams scored home victories on Saturday.

With three players scoring in double figures and all 11 active players scoring in the contest, the South Dakota State University women’s basketball team recorded an 85-63 win over Western Illinois Saturday afternoon in front of 1,963 fans at Frost Arena in The Summit League action.

Freshman guard Madison Guebert (Apple Valley, Minn.) led the Jackrabbits, now 16-4 overall and 6-1 in conference play, with 21 points. Junior guard Kerri Young (Mitchell) added 17 points and sophomore guard Macy Miller (Mitchell) had 10 points, 7 rebounds and a game-high 5 assists. The trio made 19 of 31 field goals, 61.3 percent, in the contest.

On a day when unforced errors were high and three-point percentage low, the constant remained senior guard Nicole Seekamp who scored a game-high 24 points in leading South Dakota to a 65-59 win against IUPUI Saturday inside the DakotaDome.

South Dakota (15-5, 6-1 Summit) has won five straight and remains tied for first place in the Summit League standings. IUPUI (13-7, 4-3 Summit) dropped both contests this week to South Dakota opponents. The Coyotes have won all five home games against the Jaguars in series history.
