South Dakota State secured the top seed at The Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship after winning the regular season crown for the first time since 2014.
Joining the Jackrabbits in the tournament field are Denver, Oral Roberts and North Dakota State. All four teams qualified for the #SummitWSOC championship last season, with South Dakota State taking home their third consecutive tournament title.
The 2017 Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship will be played Thursday, Nov. 2, and Saturday, Nov. 4, at Dacotah Field in Fargo, N.D.
Thursday’s first match pits No. 2 seed Denver (9-8-1, 5-2-0) against No. 3 seed Oral Roberts (8-9-1, 5-2-0) at 11:30 a.m. CT. A rematch of the last game of the regular #SummitWSOC season occurs when No. 1 seed South Dakota State (11-4-3, 7-0-0) meets No. 4 seed and host North Dakota State (7-10-0, 5-2-0) in the day’s second match at 2:30 p.m. CT.
The winners of Thursday’s matches will play in Saturday’s championship match at noon CT with the victor earning an automatic bid to the NCAA College Cup.
