South Dakota State University has found its new men’s basketball coach and will introduce him Thursday afternoon at Frost Arena.

Media sources say the new man will be Iowa State assistant coach T.J. Otzelberger.

The 38-year-old has served as an assistant coach and top recruiter for Cyclone coaches Greg McDermott, Fred Hoiberg and Steve Prohm.

SDSU has scheduled a news conference for Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. to make it official. Otzelberger will replace longtime coach Scott Nagy who left recently to take the job at Wright State.

The Jacks were 26-8 last season and lost in the opening round of the NCAA tournament to Maryland.
