Lots of ideas for possible changes to the Meridian District in downtown Yankton were on display Saturday. Architecture and design students from South Dakota State University came up with dozens of possibilities.

Kelly Jensen and Mackenzie King, both from Sioux Falls, teamed up for one of the concepts. Jensen says they took time to look around downtown…..

Jensen says they conceived of a gathering space in an off street parking lot…..

King says they see small changes that could make a big difference……

King says they have been working on their idea for quite a while…..

The concepts presented by the students could be the basis for further upgrades and changes to the downtown district.
