One SDSU student and current Young Farmers and Ranchers member recently competed in the Collegiate Discussion Meet at the National Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference in Louisville, KY. Adrienne Lipinski of Eden Valley, MN was the South Dakota representative at this prestigious competition that is designed to simulate a committee meeting where discussion and active participation are expected from each committee member. Lipinski says the topics of discussion can cover any and all current agricultural issues.

She notes that one of her other topics focused on the growing mental health concern in the agricultural industry.

Lipinski says the conference also held sessions that help prepare collegiate students for life after graduation.

Adrienne is currently a junior at SDSU majoring in Agricultural Communications.
